Nathaniel & Esme

Esme and Nathaniel have been a couple for ten years and will soon (finally!) be tying the knot in Cornwall. A place that is sentimental for them both, filled with past times of camping and sunny seaside escapes. Day to day however, their lives reside in North London, so to capture the sentiment of their home town was also important. Esme told me most of their Sundays were spent walking Parliament Hill and the Heath. This is why I was so pleased to capture the iconic skyline of London, combined with other frames filled with nature. I hoped it would tailor their pictures to have meaning to fit their personalities.
We all arrived at the park on a sunny Saturday, the bright light pierced through the leaves on trees making sparkling shadows dance before us on the pavement as the wind blew gently. Dogs constantly photobombed our shots but we did not complain because they are far too adorable to be sniffed at. All three of us enjoyed looking at the different trees and the fungi growing within them, the moss that decorated the roots and trees with unusual growth patterns, we happened to discover some with right-angled branches!  The blackberry bushes had ripe blackberries full of colour as well as some a faint green and some dusty pink, I found it interesting that just like the couple, they still had some ripening to go. The next photoshoot for them would be next year and in full wedding attire!
I wish them all the best for their Cornish endeavours and thank them for making the day in Hampstead so enjoyable.
