If you are having a wedding at the Barbican, read this!: 🌴🌿📸:

The Barbican area is huge!! If you have booked this venue you likely want to feature much of the amazing architecture

If this is the case, plan a coffee date with your bae and go on a stroll around the Barbican to pick 3 of your favourite backdrops

Narrowing the outdoor shots helps to simplify the day.

I have a helpful map drawn out if you would like some hints on where to find some of the shots featured in my portfolio

Some of the outdoor locations are a 10 minute walk (and that isn’t in heels!)

So timing that with 15 minutes for portraits inside the the conservatory (or more for the photo orientated couple), you can start to see how much out of your timeline you might want for your couple portraits

Couple portraits are your hero shots, the perfected photographs you would want on your mantlepiece and are so worth having!

For the guest orientated couple, you can just stick to shots inside the conservatory and just outside the entrance area

How long my couples usually last during extended c

How long my couples usually last during extended couple sessions / elopement sessions:

4 hours seems to be the sweet spot for when you are ready to call it and head off for food

I have had folk try to book 8 hours on long elopements, but having your photo taken requires more mental and physical energy than you might think

Especially when walking between your chosen London backdrops

We don’t shoot constantly for 4 hours straight. Usually we plan a coffee shop or pub narrative so you can have a small break

And when walking to the next location sometimes I am snapping if there’s an aesthetic background and sometimes it is spent chatting (probably about favourite foods and restaurants!)

The emoji is ironic, if I put a duck emoji the geese police might come and get me

I loved this unexpected moment and a little core memory for the family captured!

I wonder if in years to come Joel might remember this and imagine the geese were the size of giant pterodactyls??

The most unexpected moment was when the geese took off over our heads and I thanked the mirrorless camera Gods for the amount that came out in focus
