Pantone declared their colour of the year, Ultra Violet. At first I thought, well that’s good news for Willy Wonka but frankly, I’m struggling to see how that trend will benefit weddings. However!! I went to one of my favourite places for inspiration, Pinterest! I’ve found some glorious ideas, and it turns out it isn’t such a barking mad idea after all. Personally, I would favour an overall neutral palette with dashes of lavender paired with deep botanical greens. When it comes to ultra-violet, I would prefer nature to do the talking, from amethyst to delphiumium, avocados to blackberry popsicles.
I absolutely hope to getting around to dedicating a shoot to all things lavenderesque, but for now, here is a collection of my purple passions…
