A mini guide for your staycation in Castle Combe

Here are some of the places I stayed in and ate at on my staycation in Castle Combe in the Cotswolds.
The First Day…
I drove to Battens Farm Cottages (links at bottom) where I had planned to share with a group of fellow photographers for our very British staycation. I am first to arrive at the farmhouse, I looked out one of the window and the farm’s cows came right up to say hello!

It was a comfortable and homely stay…

New Year Thoughts at the Nobu Hotel in Shoreditch London

Greetings from Nobu. If a hotel was the lovechild of the Tate Modern and a Ryokan (a Japanese Inn), this would be it.
I’m ending my year with a feast for the senses at Nobu Hotel . I love great interior design and architecture, especially when it’s Japanese vibes and instilled with their attitudes to lifestyle. I might mention that the bathwater in the pictures (below) isn’t midnight black from the multiple sins of 2018 washing off of me, but…

Dream Staycation in a Luxury London Hotel

Your search for a luxury and romantic staycation in London ends here. The Shangri La Hotel at the Shard is the perfect place to propose, have a minimoon or even honeymoon!
Ambience in abundance…
This hotel very high up in the Shard London it is so ambient to see the tiny dots of traffic slowly drifting around at night.

Lost in Translation vibes!
If you’ve ever seen Lost in Translation you will feel most reminiscent here. There is the…

Passing through Patterdale Village – Lake District Road Trip!

A tiny little village, big delight!
During my trip to the Lake District earlier this year I discovered the village of Patterdale. This was to my delight because my four legged pride and joy, Oscar, is a Patterdale Terrier mixed with Border Collie. Looking around at the terrain I could see how he is truly built for life there. Unfortunately he wasn’t with me to give the hills and wild grass a test-drive, he can jump ridiculously high thus runs…

A wedding photographer’s guide to visiting Tetbury

Just another reason why I love being a Cotswolds wedding photographer!
One of the best perks about being a wedding photographer is to see parts of the world you might never have travelled to. I adore getting asked to quaint places such as the Cotswolds to get a bit of country air. I always tend to take a little tour the morning after a wedding to indulge in a local breakfast, to get some snaps and / or pop in…

Aira Force aka Waterfalls and Rainbows!!

A London Photographer in Aira Force
The photos will really do the talking here, but this was my first ever trip to Aira Force. A place filled with beautiful waterfalls, rainbows, babbling brooks, mossy rocks and apparently rare red squirrels! I was gutted not to have spotted any of the copper coated cuties, but that is the only ‘fomo’ I experienced.
An ever changing landscape
Seasonally speaking, I enjoyed the winter-sun vibes, but I would love to return in the summer to…

Snowy Walk With My Dog Oscar

An unusually cold day in North London, -4’c (feeling like -8’c), and oh boy did it take some welly to get my chunky camera out with two big old lenses, and a hyperactive patterdale / collie called Oscar cross at my side. It was my first experience taking pictures in heavy snow, and thank Lord I had waterproof protection for the camera because snow went everywhere. Including, my poor doggies beard. The snow wouldn’t melt, it merely grew into…
