The First Day…
I drove to Battens Farm Cottages (links at bottom) where I had planned to share with a group of fellow photographers for our very British staycation. I am first to arrive at the farmhouse, I looked out one of the window and the farm’s cows came right up to say hello!

A tiny little village, big delight!
During my trip to the Lake District earlier this year I discovered the village of Patterdale. A London Photographer in Aira Force
The photos will really do the talking here, but this was my first ever trip to Aira Force. A place filled with beautiful waterfalls, rainbows, babbling brooks, mossy rocks and apparently rare red squirrels! An unusually cold day in North London, -4’c (feeling like -8’c), and oh boy did it take some welly to get my chunky camera out with two big old lenses, and a hyperactive patterdale / collie called Oscar cross at my side. It was my first experience taking pictures in heavy snow, and thank Lord I had waterproof protection for the camera because snow went everywhere. Including, my poor doggies beard.
