Sammy & Isabel had their stylish mini wedding in July. Keep scrolling for some of the chicest city wedding pictures I have captured yet! Their special day was on a warm July weekday and guests turned up in beautiful colours, the mixtures of bolds and pastels added gorgeous colour and contrast to the group shots.
The newlyweds danced back down the aisle after saying “I do” to the song Applaudise by Iyanya created the most joyous energy and lifted spirits high!
On consultation, Sammy & Isabel had a strong vision about what they would like from their couple shots. How it paid off! They went on a stroll one day and brought me to the places they like. It was my first time in St Mary’s Church in Islington and I am still blown away by how beautiful it is. The simplicity and structure of Isabel’s dress also complimented how I love to use the lines of city architecture to compose my images. I’d say it’s the perfect match!
We then went on to the reception at Fig & Olive for drinks, cake cutting and a glorious speech with wholesome speeches that made me feel so warm and fuzzy! The venue is gorgeous, a little better lit where there is a glass roof above the head table. It’s a very narrow restaurant so suitable for smaller numbers of guests and intimate dinners!
When booking with me, I can also help to recommend lots of local venues for micro wedding receptions. If having an Islington Town Hall wedding, I’m there almost on a weekly occurrence in peak season so can offer lots of tips and advice for logistics too.
